Todd Olsen has extensive experience writing and producing winning political direct mail, as well as consulting political candidates, public policy campaigns and non-profit coalitions. Prior to forming Olsen & Shuvalov, he managed political and public policy campaigns and served as Executive Vice President of Karl Rove + Company. The firm earned a national reputation for creating winning political strategies that have helped elect U.S. Senators, governors, legislative leaders and reform candidates to the Texas Supreme Court. Todd received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

Kevin Shuvalov, prior to joining Olsen & Shuvalov, served as Regional Political Director for the Republican National Committee. As RPD, Kevin worked with state parties and campaigns in his region to grow Republican majorities in the Senate, House and Governorships. He helped win Iowa for President Bush in 2004, win other nationally prominent races, and helped create the successful “72 Hour” turnout program. Prior to joining the RNC, Kevin was Regional Political Director for Bush-Cheney 2000, where he set up and managed state campaign offices for the western states. Kevin began his career in Texas politics with Karl Rove, where he was part of Karl Rove + Company from 1996 to 1999. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.  

Heather Shuvalov brings more than a decade of experience offering strategic direct mail consulting to Republican candidates and causes. Prior to forming Olsen & Shuvalov, she worked with Karl Rove successfully winning a 1989 statewide Constitutional Proposition election and was invited to join the firm following the campaign. She worked for Rove + Company for ten years as an Account Executive and Production Manager, spending the last two years as Executive Vice President/Production Manager. Heather has a marketing degree from Texas A&M University. She is a former Kentuckian and resident of Austin since 1982.

Lynette Fanguy, President of Praxis List Company, has worked with Olsen & Shuvalov since 1999, and previous to that, worked for Karl Rove + Company off and on since 1984. She has an extensive knowledge of the commercial list market, list segmentation, voter targeting and web-based fundraising resources. She holds a BBA from Angelo State University.

Lee Davis, Systems Analyst, was born and raised in Cental Texas, attending high school and college in Austin. He began his working career in the Geophysical Exploration Industry before assuming a position in the Computer Department at Karl Rove + Company in 1993. Lee has been a valued member of Olsen & Shuvalov since 1999, where he has helped create a state-of-the-art computer services and laser production department.

Laureen Quinn Sturge, joined the team in 2003 as the Volunteer Coordinator, currently the Intern Coordinator and special assistant to Todd and Kevin. A former Washingtonian, native New Yorker and graduate of Long Island University/C.W. Post with a BA in Criminal Justice and Public Administration. She is a former Computer Systems Analyst for the New York State Office of Court Administration.

Erin Gayler, an Account Executive, joined Olsen & Shuvalov in January 2006.  A graduate of Louisiana State University in history and political science, Erin began her career at the Louisiana Republican Party. Soon after she began, Erin was promoted to Deputy Finance & Communications Director where she coordinated numerous fundraising events and handled media relations for the Party.  Prior to joining O&S, Erin served as the Louisiana Victory ’04 Finance Director where she raised over $1 million, funding the state’s Get Out the Vote efforts and delivering Louisiana’s 9 electoral votes to President Bush.  Erin has been an Austin resident since 2005.

Mercedes Vaughn, Production Assistant, joined Olsen & Shuvalov in May 2007 after being a Senior Client Care Specialist at North Austin Animal Hospital. Mercedes has also done list work for the American Red Cross and has been an Austin resident since 2005.

Paula Hughes, began working with Olsen & Shuvalov on a part-time basis when they began and joined the team full-time in April, 2006.  Previous to that, she worked for Karl Rove + Company as a consultant doing data base management since 1990.  She has 17 years experience in list management, address correction and direct mail presorting.  She holds a BA from Mississippi State University.
